FAQ
FAMREPS is a family fitness event that brings children, adults, schools, companies and families together through its published race divisions and team formats.
FAMREPS 2026 takes place on Saturday 28 November 2026 at Hoërskool Garsfontein in Pretoria East, Gauteng. Check the Race day guide for published arrival instructions and event updates.
FAMREPS offers entries for children, adults, families, schools and teams. Check the age or grade requirements, team size and race standards for your chosen division before booking.
Race entries include participation and water on event day. Selected packages also include an official FAMREPS T shirt. Check your chosen package for its specific inclusions.
Parents, teachers and adults can participate in the Adult Open division, and the Family Fun Relay is also open to adults. Each division lists its own age range and follows standards appropriate to that division.
No. Every station is scaled by division, from Grade R through matric, so nobody is facing a standard built for a different age group.
FAMREPS is a time-based competition — no division, station or Gladiator Finisher uses points. The clock starts on the official signal and runs continuously. An individual's time stops at the finish line; a team's time stops when the final required member crosses. The Gladiator Finisher is part of that same continuous elapsed time, not a separate scored station. Fastest valid elapsed time wins.
Review the available options on the Categories and Entry Packages pages. For a school or company booking, use the relevant group booking form or contact the FAMREPS team for assistance.
A school competition team has exactly five participants. A school entering 30 learners books six separate teams of five.
A corporate competition team has exactly five participants. A company can book several teams, with five participant places in each team.
Teams of five help control the flow through the event and give each participant the opportunity to complete the workout within the approved structure.
Yes, subject to available places. For school and corporate competition entries, 30 participants are booked as six teams of five. Each team has its own roster and event allocation.
Not necessarily. Booking several teams does not guarantee the same start allocation. Each team follows the allocation published for it.
No. Family Fun Relay follows its separate format for families or groups of three to six. The five person school and corporate rule does not change the Family Fun Relay.
Use Find my entry and review the published requirements for the participant. If the age and grade details do not produce a clear eligible option, contact FAMREPS before purchasing that entry.
Prices depend on the entry and selected package. The Entry Packages page shows the current options, participant places and inclusions. Your booking summary shows the complete selected total before payment.
No. FAMREPS does not use time penalties, penalty exercises or points deductions. Follow your division requirements and the safety briefing. An activity that is not completed is recorded honestly rather than given a false finish time.
Yes. Each adult completes their own applicable personal form. A parent or legal guardian completes a separate permission record for each child. A school or company booking does not replace those individual records.
Yes. Adults complete the spectator admission form. A parent or legal guardian completes the required record for each child, including children admitted free of charge. Spectator admission does not include racing.
You can accept the purchase terms as the purchaser. You cannot sign another adult's personal form or a child's guardian permission merely because you are the purchaser, teacher, employer or team captain.
Open My booking and check the payment status. Do not pay again until the first payment has been checked. Contact FAMREPS with the booking reference if you need help.
Submit a booking review request. FAMREPS assesses the reason, notice, relevant evidence and applicable policy. Refunds are not automatically made in full, and a reasonable cancellation charge may apply where the law permits it.
The event team may pause, change or stop an activity for safety. Follow the event instructions and check the Race day guide for updates. Refunds or alternatives for an affected booking are assessed under the event policy and applicable law.
Event admission is not a childcare service. Arrange appropriate supervision for children in your care, including while you participate in your own activity. Only a specifically advertised and booked supervised activity provides the supervision described for it.
Request the change through booking assistance. A replacement must meet the booked division requirements, complete their own forms and receive an updated valid pass. A replacement cannot add a sixth member to a school or corporate team.
Use the permitted viewing areas shown in the Race day guide and follow crossing instructions. Keep the course, station areas and emergency routes clear.
Official results and event photographs will appear in the event information hub when published. Preparation or promotional photographs are labelled separately from event coverage.
